Hello again. Quite a long time between posts this time...I've had lots to do, and lots on my mind. Work (proper work) has been intense, which is good in these times of crunchy credit. Also, when I can, I've been working hard on Jack in the Box. Plus I've just turned 40 years old! I had a great family meal at Baumanns Brasserie in Coggeshall, and got a few Blu-rays and an Ipod...oh, and Mrs Wicks is taking me to see Dylan Moran next week -- result!
Jack in the Box edges towards its conclusion. Now only 5 pages away from the end of book 4, and so 45 pages away from the end of the whole darn thing. Once Book 4 is done it really will feel like downhill all the way...at least I think that's what will happen :) Here's a taster of where we are in book 4...Jack finally loses it:

I hope to have a good deal more done by March 14th, when I get to demo C2D4 at the Essex Book Festival. I'm an exhibitor at Harlow and Brentwood libraries that day, so the more JITB art I can show (and the more issues I have to sell) the better.
Underpants:

My son has been begging me for these books about a hero known as 'Captain Underpants', so on their 2nd day off school (because of the snow) I relented and bought him a boxed set. Since then he's been reading and drawing Captain Underpants. I was particularly impressed by the above :)
Finally, congrats to my best friend Keith, on getting married tommorow! I'm one of 3 best men, and can't wait to see me old m8 tie the knot with Ruthy :)
