Partially inked as well, but now my eyes are starting to cross so the PC's turning off. :) Maybe I'll ink it over the weekend....

Real life has been getting in the way this week. DIY, webdesign...All good stuff, but it's not helping the progression of the story much.

Page 12's pencils next, hopefully inked over the weekend. Then I'll be scripting pages 13 - 18. The 'Bruno' sequence. :)

Friday was PS3 day (Oh my lord, it rocks!) and a total gaming fest, so I chipped away at p10 on Saturday instead. I stayed up late and finished it in the early hours of this morning, because today I was repairing a fence panel/ post that got damaged by the gales a few weeks back. Hurrah for DIY :(

Anyway, page 11 will be started tommorow, and in the meantime, the first panel of p10:P.S: double figures -- Yay!! :))

Although it might seem I've gone into hibernation since selling my first strip, well...I haven't.

I've been using my time pretty wisely, so if I'm not fresh enough for drawing and day-job stuff I'll turn my hand to things like colouring and lettering, which are hard, but not AS demanding. Plus I've completed the conceptual stage as far as characters go.

So far then, I've completed pages 7 and 8, inked page 9, and pencilled page 10. The latter two were the hardest so far, in so much as layout goes, but I'm really happy with the results. 3 more pages and I'll be scripting again.The production line continues, but after tommorow...PS3 launch day. Say no more. :)

Seriously...the first one in -- well, since I became self employed!

It's for a one page advert for a London based firm. I'll be more specific (and post the full page of artwork) once they've printed and distributed it themselves. They hopefully want to do a series of similar cartoon based ads with me in the future, so I'm feeling pretty good about comics at the mo'!

This was a bugger to draw. Glad it's over, though I'm pleased with the result. Splash pages aren't as fun as lots of little boxes. :)

Pages 7 to 12 are now scripted, and it's going really well.

Here's a panel from page 7, which is nearly inked. I hope I can keep up this kind of progress, as I'm looking at between 30 to 40 pages to tell the whole tale.

Now I can get on with the script, which means I can then carry on drawing the actual strip...Cool. :)

Just one more character concept to draw, then scripting of the next 6 pages can begin.

Can't wait to draw the sequence featuring this l'il fella :)

The first six pages are completed, plus the whole book's story is plotted, and now I need to script another 6 pages, for my next month's work.

There's a fair bit of conceptual sketch work that needs doing first though. First and foremost Bruno, the evangelist lion. :)

Back to the drawing board....

6 pages, finished (pencils and inks) in my self-imposed deadline of a month....You can see them below. Now I've got to colour and letter them, while hopefully finding time to create some character sketches for the next part of the book. Oh, and scripting pages 7 - 12. It's great being busy!
