Welcome to the website of UK cartoonist and comics artist Tony Wicks. Here you will find galleries of strip cartoons and comic strips, illustrations, story boards, script/ story concepts and various other personal galleries and projects, such as life drawing and sketches. There are also regular news and blog updates.

Tony is currently collaborating with script writer Martin Buxton co-creating original comic strips available to buy on the internet at C2D4, and at the UK comic conventions they regularly attend. He also welcomes commissions, and collaborations, for commercial work and anthologies.

Keep your eyes peeled for all-original serialised titles such as Last of the Chickenheads, Jack in the Box, Crowman, The Hack, and many others.

Ace!

Ace Comics have agreed to stock 'Last of the Chickenheads'! That's the Colchester branch. I'm pretty damn chuffed about this, so have readied the copies with their C2D4 pullout flyers, and will get them up there by tommorow.

Also:JITB Monkey BusinessMartin and I have embarked on the next C2D4 project, 'Jack in the Box', which is a story I've had knocking around for years now. I've re-plotted it, drawn new characters, and Martin has scripted book one already, giving it all the scope and flow that comes from his prodigious writing skills. I love what he's done with it, stretching it in new directions and giving me loads of really interesting things to draw. :)

This will be a 20 page first issue, in black white and magenta, and then we'll turn our attention to the first issue of 'Crowman', Martin's genius creation. We've also got a supernatural/ demonic story in the works, with lots of spiders in.

We hope to have Jack, Crowman, and obviously Chickenheads ready for May next year, as we've already booked a table at the Bristol comic con'. There's definitely some exciting times ahead :)
